About Me

Animals have been my ultimate passion for as long as I can recall. From pleading with my parents to buy me every stuffed animal toy imaginable, to creating make-believe zoo enclosures within our home or spending endless hours watching the adventures of the Steve Irwin, my heart has always been drawn to creatures of all kinds.

My desire and interest for the veterinary profession came later in life when I discovered biology at school. Combining my natural intrigue for the biological world with my deep affection for animals, embarking on a journey as a veterinarian was simply destined. I absolutely love my job and I am so grateful that I get to come into work every day to meet new people and help their pets.

My Passion, Purpose & Motivation

My goal is to be an advocate and leader within the veterinary industry for my colleagues, clients and patients through the daily practice of empathy, kindness and compassion.

Our world revolves around our pets- they are more than “just a cat” or “just a dog”, they are a member of the family, our children, our best friends and protectors. They deserve to live a life of happiness and unconditional love, free of pain, suffering or fear. With the support of the incredible team here at Berwick Clyde Vet, I aim to deliver a service that provides a high standard of compassion, animal welfare and veterinary medicine.

Nothing makes me happier than seeing your pets healthy and enthused with life. I strongly believe our animals choose us in life and I want to help educate and give you the power to help you keep your pets as healthy as possible. They deserve to live everyday knowing they are special and cared for. I endeavour to always make sure my clients feel comfortable and supported when they visit, and that they know that we love their pets just as much as they do.

As a veterinarian, I have interests in small animal surgery and feline medicine. I would get very excited and overjoyed if you bring your feline friends to visit me at the clinic!

My Qualifications & Experience

I graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2019 with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) with Honours. I was also recognised on the Dean’s Honours List in 2018 during my veterinary studies.

In my earlier years of clinical practice, I completed a rotating internship at Southpaws Speciality, Emergency and Referral Hospital where I gained further insight and training in areas of veterinary emergency, internal medicine and surgery. I have a particular interest and passion for small animal surgery and in 2022, I completed a small animal surgical training course via the Centre for Veterinary Education through the University of Sydney.

In the future, my goal is to gain membership qualifications in both small animal surgery and feline medicine.

My Family & Hobbies

Outside of work, I am a dedicated pet mum alongside my partner Matt. We have a notoriously cheeky Bengal cat name Jasper, a snuggle muffin domestic medium hair called Yuki, an energetic Australian Shepherd called Archer and a grumpy Central Bearded Dragon called Nemo. My home is my own zoo and there will always be more room for fur babies!

When I am not caring for animals at the clinic, I like to spend my time with family and friends. I am passionate about music and love to sing, play guitar and write music in my spare time. I love everything about food especially sushi trains – if I could live anywhere other than Australia it would be Japan!

Finally, you will find me most weekends barracking hysterically and screaming my lungs out for my beloved Collingwood Magpies.
