Like many of my colleagues here, I have loved animals great and small for as long as I can remember! From snakes to birds, dogs to cats, horses and mice I love them all. I always wanted to work with animals, and being a veterinary nurse lets me combine my love of science with my love of animals. I am so grateful that I get to meet new people and their pets every day when I come to work. No one day is alike!
My Passion, Purpose & Motivation
I have a special interest in anaesthesia, surgical nursing and critical care nursing. There are so many things that go into making an anaesthetic as safe as possible and no one pet is the same! It is a privilege to be a voice for the voiceless and help educate people about their pets and what we do as veterinary professionals. If asked to sum up why I do what I do, I’ve got to borrow the words of the 12th Doctor ‘I do what I do because it’s right. Because it’s decent and above all, it’s kind. It’s just that, just kind”.
Did I mention I’m a little bit of a sci-fi nerd too?

– Certificate IV Veterinary Nursing
– Certificate II Animal Care
– Currently completing a Bachelor of Veterinary Technology at Charles Sturt University
My Family & Hobbies
I have a few pets of my own. A gorgeous black German Shepherd named Lexi, 3 beautiful cats named Timmy, Tilly and Flick and 2 lovely warmblood mares, Queenie and Cleo. I am blessed to have so many wonderful pets in my life though they keep me busy!
I am an avid equestrian and spend a lot of my free time training my own horses or assisting other owners with theirs. Young horses are my specialty as a good foundation can make or break a horse’s ridden career.
I love puzzles, and mystery games (the Nancy Drew games are great!) and I am always up for a good escape room or two! One of my great joys in life other than my pets is learning new things, and the pursuit of knowledge never stops!
