About Me
Animals have always been a huge part of my life. Growing up surrounded by pets, wildlife, and farm animals, I developed a fascination with the animal world from a very young age. Inspired by the work of Sir David Attenborough, I knew early on that I wanted a career dedicated to caring for animals and helping them live healthier, happier lives.
I began my journey in the veterinary industry in 2018 and joined the Berwick Clyde Vet team in 2025. One of the things I love most about veterinary nursing is the opportunity to work with animals every day and give back to the creatures that bring so much joy, comfort, and companionship to our lives.
My Passion, Purpose & Motivation
I’ve always felt a deep connection with animals and a strong desire to care for those who cannot speak for themselves. This passion naturally led me towards veterinary nursing, where compassion, patience, and dedication come together every day.
For me, veterinary nursing is much more than a job, it’s a career that allows me to make a meaningful difference in the lives of animals and the people who love them. I am passionate about providing comfort and care to patients during their most vulnerable moments and helping owners feel supported throughout their pet’s healthcare journey.
One of the most rewarding aspects of my role is seeing a sick or injured animal recover and return home to their family. Those moments serve as a constant reminder of why I chose this profession.
My Qualifications & Experience
Since becoming a Veterinary Nurse in 2018, I have had the privilege of working with and caring for a wide variety of species. Throughout my career, I have assisted with the care of everything from little penguins, helmeted honeyeaters, and humpback whales to dogs, cats, rabbits, and many other animals in between.
I have continued to expand my knowledge and skills through further education, completing studies in:
- Small Animal Anaesthesia & Analgesia
- Advanced Anaesthesia
- Critical Care Nursing
- Veterinary Dentistry for Nurses
- Small Animal Cardiology
I enjoy continually learning and developing my skills so I can provide the highest standard of care to my patients.
My Family & Hobbies
At home, I have a beautiful Ridgeback cross named Elwood. He loves swimming year-round, regardless of the weather and especially enjoys visiting the family farm in country Victoria, where he likes to put his cattle-herding skills to the test.
Outside of work, I enjoy wildlife and bird photography, listening to music, and getting lost in a good thriller novel. I’m also a passionate ice hockey fan (Go Pens!) and love spending time outdoors hiking and exploring with friends.
I feel incredibly fortunate to work in a profession that combines my love of animals, science, and helping others, and I look forward to caring for your pets as part of the Berwick Clyde Vet team.
