About Me
I’m a qualified Veterinary Nurse with a lifelong love for animals. Growing up, I was always surrounded by all kinds—from farm animals and horses to insects and pet rats. Animals have always brought me comfort, and I truly enjoy being around them. It’s rare to see me without an animal in my arms—I’ve even been known to stop strangers on the street just to meet their pets (and have a quick chat with them too)!
My Passion, Purpose and Motivation
I’ve always known I wanted to work with animals—I just needed to find the right path. During high school, I completed work experience at a vet clinic and instantly knew that becoming a vet nurse was the dream.
Now that I’m in the role, I’m excited to keep learning, growing, and building my skills so I can give the best care possible to the animals I love.
Animals have given me so much comfort and love throughout my life, and now I want to give back to them. Helping animals also helps people—it’s incredibly rewarding to know that the care I provide can make a difference in both their lives.
My Qualifications and Experiences
I completed my Certificate II in Animal Studies while still in high school, along with work experience at a local wildlife park and a placement at a local vet clinic. I then went on to study for my Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing, during which I gained hands-on experience across various clinics.
While studying, I also had the opportunity to work as a Veterinary Nurse, which was a key part of building my confidence and learning all areas of working in a vet clinic.
My Family and Hobbies
I come from a large, loving family who mean a lot to me. One very special family member is our 13-year-old Staffy, Tux—I’ve grown up with him, and he’s truly part of the family.
Another big part of my life is my friends, I love spending time with them whenever we get the chance. I also love to travel any opportunity I can get whether it’s with friends or family (including Tux when he can come!). I’ve been all over Australia to some of the most beautiful places with my family which has been a big part of my childhood.
