Natalie Chan

When I was 17, I moved from Hong Kong to Melbourne, Australia, where I have spent the majority of my adult life. Meeting the wonderful people, animals and wildlife here in this beautiful country has gradually motivated me to pick up my childhood dream – to become a veterinarian who will be a contributing member of our community and to care for all animals big and small.

With a strong career goal in mind, I completed my Bachelor of Animal and Veterinary Biosciences degree at La Trobe University in 2020 and began my veterinary journey at Melbourne Veterinary School in 2021. I am currently in my clinical year and am hoping to graduate in 2024.

Whilst I am driven to learn all disciplines in veterinary medicine, I have particular interests in small animal, equine and exotic pet medicine and surgery – I used to have guinea pigs as childhood pets, and now I am the mum of a cheeky green cheek pineapple conure named Kiki. In my own time, I like to pick up pet-sitting gigs in my neighborhood, bake and sell pet treats, and regularly visit some horses in an agistment down at the Mornington Peninsula.

I joined the Lynbrook Vet family in 2022 as a vet student nurse. Lynbrook Vet has allowed me to become a part of a vibrant and supportive team that values professionalism, credibility, the building of trust and respect between members of the community and growth. As an animal attendant and consulting nurse in training, I look forward to meeting your furry and feathery babies very soon.
